Bad Endorf, with its thermal waters and health spas, is situated in the heart of the Bavarian Chiemgau region and is a place of recreation for both locals and visitors.
Situated nearby is the “Eggstätter Seenplatte” with its many lakes. It is the oldest natural park in Bavaria and offers numerous possibilities for hiking and swimming. Bad Endorf is located very conveniently: every hour there are trains to Munich, the capital of Bavaria, and to Salzburg, the famous “Mozart City” in Austria. Arrival by car: Autobahn (highway) München - Salzburg, exit Bernau, direction Prien, and then Bad Endorf.
The cultural theatre “Marias Kino”, one of the oldest working movie theatres in Germany, was founded by Maria Stadler shortly after WW II. Today it is managed by a group of young cinema enthusiasts. With its unique atmosphere, it serves not only as a cinema with very good art house movies but also as a venue for various kinds of theatre productions.
Now it has become an important cultural institution in Upper Bavaria. “El Haddawi” has staged two dance theatre productions here: “Warrior Soul” and “L´Amour Nomade”.
